Powerlink,from rossiters

Featured Replies

At the risk of this product already having have been discussed previously, for which I apologise if so, can anyone vouch for the quality etc. of Powerlink (chip) supplied by Rossiters,Kings Lynne,as recommended by my main agent, and apparently recognised and not frowned upon by skoda,i.e. will not affect the warranty supposedly.Cheers c.j.

Ive delt with Rossiters in the past. They do alot of BMW parts and are distributors for Steinmetz (had rather alot of their stuff on my Astra). I cant vouch for the Powerbox but them as a company are superb, really good people to deal with, very helpfull.

I used to deal with a chap called Richard Cheedle, not sure if hes still there but give em a call, theyd be more than glad to give you some info. Give thema call, mention Briskoda and they might do you a deal for publicity.

Let them put it black on white before you believe this...

For those like me who don't know what Powerlink is, have a look at this link.

(POWERLINK is an additional motronic box which in most applications plugs directly into the vehicles diesel pump often using the existing factory connectors.)

Not looked at the link but I guess this is similar to a tuning box which basically intercepts a signal from the ECU and overfuels.

Does give more power but also more smoke.

As do remaps as theya re also increasing fuel (aswell as boost).

The Powerlink box though cant intercept signals to the diesel pump on the PD as it aint got one. Probably works on the ECU signals to the fuel temp sender.

:eyepop: Which put into dopes-like me- language, means what? Is one more advantageous over t'other? c.j. :rubchin:

What bit you confuzed with matey, sorry not to speak the queens english and all that. :)

Personally I favour a remap over the tuning box (bit difficult to give an unbiased opinion though as rather than just fooling a sensor to give you more power (basically what a tuning box does) it alters the actual programming and if done custom stylee it does it to your engine. However it does cost more as more is envolved.

With regards to how the Powerbox works it aint much different, but the PD engine if far superior due to the lack of the normal diesel pump as its got full electronic control on the quanity of fuel injected (why remapping is a good option on the PD).

Hope this is a little better.
