Blinking light for alarm.Where to put it?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I have new Octavia diesel 1.9 and i have small problem with alarm.

The guy that installed alarm (vision) did not know where to put that small red blinking light so I said to him that I will ask around and tell him where to put it.It's not that he didn't know,it's just that I didn't like his suggestions.

So I am asking you can he connect it to this small lamp in between the A.C.and other buttons(look at the picture).

That is some warning light,right?

And what is it for?

If not where do you think is the best place for warning light?

Where did U put it?

Thanks in advance for the help...

The blinking light for an Octy II is on the drivers door. It simly needs to be visible, I don't think you'd be able to put it in the A/C panel you've pictured.

I don't know - I don't have it.

I don't have that but I think it is not a light but a temperature sensor for the A/C.

I went through the whole manual and there is nothing about it.I'll ask them in service they must know.

put the light around between the steering column and the door so it can be seen near the ignition of you get what i mean?!?!?

I wonder why Skoda only fit the one light, and not 2 (driver & Passenger) like most other VAG cars have

You are true. That is a temperature sensor for the air conditioning.

Because when they cut out things like that they can sell a great product for less money?

That little black sensor is also present on the 2Zone system as well. It's most likely an I.R. sensor to offset the A/C setpoint dependant on the amount on sunlight entering the car.

I would rather have one light and save quite a few grand over a VW Passat :P
