Hello Again

Featured Replies

Greetings to all fellow members,

I have been away from the forums for so long now that I forgot my password and have since changed both address and email so it was easier to just re register.

Still have my 2001 (Y) Octy VRS and even though we have since bought another family car to replace the missus old VW Passat, I cannot bring myself to part with the old fella.

The funny thing is that we bought the newer car with a view to move to a one car family as I can now walk to the train station and we have no need for both vehicles.

Trouble is I have become attached to my old friend and have to say that it is the only car that I can honestly say is still an enjoyable drive after more than three years.

The early teething troubles were sorted with the ever valuable assistance from the wonderful members here at Briskoda and have had a pretty much faultless experience over the past two or more years.

Even though I was tempted to buy an Octy VRS II, the budget wouldn't quite stretch that far and to be honest I am not keen on the re-designed model even though I am sure the driving experience is every bit as good as the old one.

Anyway, enough rambling and I hope members/owners new and old are as happy with their choice of brand as I have been even though I would have larfed in your face if you had told me some ten years ago that I would be the proud owner of a Skoda in the future.

Cheers

Tony (retr0nut/2)

Glad to see you've found your way back.

welcome back:wavey:

The wanderer returns :)

Welcome to Briskoda

Hello Retr0nut2. I like a bit of a ramble myself actually. It was only last Tuesday when ....

Cars are expensive to run though. I'm thinking of getting a Veyron as my second car just so I can leave it on the forecourt and go out with my bucket and sponge at weekends :)

Seriously though, Nope can't think of anything serious.

:)
