16s standard on a vRS?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Bought a 51 plate vRS last week, noticed it only has 16s on it... with 205/55s.

Is this normal? I always thought the vRSs had 17s?

The hatchback does. The combi comes with 16s. Possible a previous owner felt the ride was too harsh and put the 16" ones on instead.

Well all estates had the 16s, the hatches should be 17s. My Y plate has 17s.

Hmm!

Its a pity as the 17s look much better :(

Hmm!

Best you can really do is look for a set of Ebay, then send your current wheels the same way. :)

Didn't the RS's on the continent only come with 16's? Or am I imagining that?

when I used to work at Marshall Skoda we used to see a few hatchbacks with 16s on them for some reason. Sometimes they were sold as they were & sometimes we got autho from Skoda to change them.

IIRC correctly early models have 16"s

Early models and Irish imports had 16's.

My Y reg has 16's, it seems some early ones have 16's and others 17's.

I had a 51 plate octy vRS on 16" alloys.............Wish I'd kept it now..The car not the alloys..........YJ 51 WTT

At least the brakes look bigger in the 16" wheels :)
