No they are only on for the pictures

No different from the group buy other than I got a white rear plate (as they say, if your doing something might aswell do it properly)

Looking great Shaun - shame I haven't manage to see it locally, yet!

Really liking the front shot, nice 'n' mean - makes me want to do the colour-coded grille even more on mine.

Rear set off nicely with the Milltek, not sure about the towbar though :P - you thought about a vRS spoiler or anything?

Oh, and some clear front indicator bulbs

Cheers Steve :). Should start seeing me soon when I can drive again. At the moment I can just get my foot on the clutch, but not fast enough, so I will stay off the road till im safe to do so. If you want a snoop Im on Conway Rd.

Yeah thinking of some eyebrows for that 'snarl' they seem to give. Was tempted to colour code the bump strips but they seem to go well with the splitter and fog surrounds.

Get that surround done! The painter sprayed my grill bit though :o.

Yeah but at the moment it does stick out a lot, you can see the welds to the tips. A VRS bumper should sort it, pitty I lost bidding for one on ebay . The ball of the towbar will be removed soon and replaced with the MX rack bit.

Thought about it but whats the point, I think it would be to much.

Dont worry they will be sorted along with the rear ones. Tempted for some spacers on the rear though, wonder if Sarah would let me put some on and see how it looks .

Shaun

thats one of the better looking modded PD100's I've seen ... nice :)

very well pulled off oem+ look

i like that alot, nice to see a modded fabia that isnt a vrs, good work

Hi Shaun

It is a lovely looking acr

I know just about what mods you have done , as I have helped you spend your money ;)

I like the wheels , didnt know about them

BVut cracking car

As for the spacers , mmmm I am afraid I could not let you try them , as if they get a slight scratch we cannot sell them on

But what I will say is that if you speak nicely to some of the guys on here , I know that they have some spacers and at a local meet I am sure that someone will help

I would love to help you as that is one great car

Well done Shaun

Cheers Sarah :)

I know, god knows now much money I have spent there on "bits". Wheels were the first thing I did then got the springs on it from you as it looked like a tractor!

Hehe worth a try on the spacers :P. If I am driving I should pop down to that detailed thing next week and have a noisey and may be get some idea's from peoples cars. Will leave my card at home this time unless some 20mm spacers fit on the rear.

Shaun

You had a gander at the classifieds over on Edition 38?

You might spy a set of 5x100 20s there...

Steve

Hi

Yes I think Jason has more spacers than us really ;)

Steve - 20's! Some 18" BBS CH is so what I want!

Sarah - Hehe may drop him a pm then. When I rang last I was told you have 20mm's in stock. Dong I thought that detailed thing was on next Friday but were still in June lol.

I wonder what the price is to make my engine PD130 spec

Shaun

:rofl - 20MM spacers Shaun! :D

I keep an eternal watch for some 5x100 17" CHs in the correct offset. 18s are too big for the Fab really, IMHO.

CH - a wheel beyond compare  :thumbup:

Haha dumb *** moment there.

Reason why I said 18's as they seem to come up more often than 17's. Wouldn't mind a set of 16's with a nice lil bit of tyre stretch but nothing to much.

Shaun

Best looking 'non VRS' Fabia I've seen....

Still looking good Shaun, when do you get to drive it again?

  • Author

Driving, dont have a clue. Going to work my leg hard tonight in the hope I can bend it enough for something tomora night.

How are you finding the evos, how low have you wound them down?

  • Author

Only been driven home in it so far, the ride doesn't seem a hard as I thought it would be. Got a few threads on the front, going to set them up soon. Thanks for the advice on the drop links.

Wouldn't mind getting something near this stance: http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/uploads/gti1_001.jpg

Shaun

Don't go too low Shaun, think of the sleeping plod :)

  • Author

Well managed to find a seating position tonight that let me get my foot on the clutch nice and easy so went for a little drive. Ride seems ok and I found the splitter touchs the floor during hard cornering hehe.

Hope not to Len, they still need to settle yet then they will be changed accordingly. The way that MK5 sits is so nice though!

this is them wound all the way down:
