F1 Testing - Silverstone 19-21 Jun 07

Featured Replies

Anyone going to the F1 Testing this week? I'm sad enough to be going all three days

Quite a few of the F1 teams will be represented at Goodwood Festival of Speed too which starts this Friday and continues over the weekend, fantastic getting so close to F1 cars blasting up the hill climb track.

Couldn't get along to FOS this year unfortunately, but may be heading up to Silverstone next Friday to watch the practice sessions (assuming I can wangle some free tickets!).

Since when did they start charging to attend test days

I suppose it's since the FIA reduced the number of tests at the circuit from 5 to 1 annually that they've decided to charge. Still not really a justification but 10 quid to see 9 F1 teams over a day really isn't too bad. That said, as a Silverstone Racing Club member, I get in for free! :D

Teams present at the F1 test are:

Mclaren, Renault, Ferrari, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Toyota, BMW Sauber, Williams & Spyker.

Unofficial times had Ralf Schumacher quickest, however as this is a tyre test, no-one yet has been practicing qually laps.

Lewis Hamilton is due to take over the Mclaren from Pedro De La Rosa today (Weds).
