Only had the car a few days, so apologies if I've missed an answer to this already.

Noticed in the handbook that there are cup holders in the back of the centre console, but I've only got a rear ashtray there.

Got the jumbo cool box option, so:

1 Does this make a difference? and

2 Can the ashtray be replaced with a cup holder device in the same space?

i noticed this the other week too but wasnt sure if it was a 2008 build feature or something from the european market. I Wouldnt mind knowing the part number too if it could be fitted in place of the ashtray.

Drinks holders - The new Octavia interior has clever storage ideas almost everywhere - such as two hide-away drinks holders between the front and rear seats and a storage space that fits a 1.5 litre bottle in the door compartment.

Perhaps the "hide-away" holders are too well hidden !

Alas they are, to the point that they don't exist with the jumbo cool box!

Good tip re the holders being built into car seats, as a new father as well as Octavia owner, every day is just another step on the path of learning.....
