Lowered fabias/speed humps

Featured Replies

Anyone out there with a lowered fabia vrs, encountered any difficulties negotiating the dreaded speed humps/pads? Any sumps been damaged, and where I wonder would you stand suing the council for any damage incurred? Can currently drive over the pads that are popular round here, wheel each side,at normal speed in my van with no problem, but a lowered fab could well be a different kettle of cod. C.J.

my lowered furby clearers the speed bumps no problem. watch for the aerofoil thingys on the front though on high kerbs.Tom :D

lowering doesn't normally cause problems with clearance, but watch out for strange "bounciness" that I got from using lowering springs on standard suspension... I used to have take speed bumps really slow to avoid a sudden bounce up and then bottoming out... :( (main reason I'm getting Koni's this time)

that doesn't happen with the vrs shockers Jason. i think they are slightly stiffer than the normal tdi's Tom.

Mine is lowered, and does suffer from the "bounce" Jason described. No problems with clearing the bumps/pads though... do have to slow down a little though... which is why the humps are there anyway... :)
