when i put my foot on the accelerator to increase speed it misses at around 2000 rpm and then once it is revving past 2300rpm it stops.

any ideas ????

have had new distributor leads put on about 8 months ago but as only started doin it now.

it is the later one, injected. sorry i forgot to say its an M reg Glxie.

The garage we used put us new distributor leads and cap on when we had it. Due to it being a late favorit though skoda mixed and matched parts with the early felicias. This is why its hard to get the correct leads and certain other parts.

:) Always start with the basics....plugs, cap, rotor, valve clearances, fuel filter ect. Then check out the sensors, engine management stuff.

Have experienced this problem on past polos and it was the throttle body on them.

Could be anything tbh! My guess is split dizzy cap, dirty distributor or a shot rotor arm. :)

:iagree: - well, that's a start, and it's all cheap "look at" stuff.
