good news, mk2 shell has arrived

Featured Replies

Picked up the Mk2 rallycross pug shell.

I was supposed to pick up a "rolling shell", but i got a bit more than i bargined for.

When we dropped it off last night (cheers to Mr young and richorton) off the wagon, i popped the bonnet to see if there was any driveshafts and stuff left in it.

To my suprise there was a full 1.9 lump in there!! :jawbig:

This was complete with power steering, pipercross induction kit, gearbox and all the other associated bits n' pieces.

So we now have loads of spares and a doner shell to put the parts into.

Looks like it is going to be a busy weekend....

Looking good for Brunters then?

Nah - don't wanna bother with all that - you need a nice 150BHP TDI engine in there. :P

Seriously though, hope all is A.OK for brunters - the 205 is hell of a car when it's going nice!

 He's got a point, but is the 1.9TDI valid in Mcross?

Seem to recall a bucket load of rules.

Probably not .... after all it is rallycross not a ploughing competition :peepwall:

Anyway, good news Si - hope it all gets sorted ASAP and you are back fighting pronto

:fence3d: :buttkick: :minus1:

Humble apols Jason - no offence meant ......... I know ploughing competitions are excellent fun having been dragged to my first one years ago by a couple of farmer mates - soon realised that they are really just an excuse for a massive p*ss up with cheap booze (... and plenty of hay bales etc :rubchin: )

No offence taken - honest. I've come to expect a little bit of rib-digging and it's like water off a ducks back - I just point out my 150bhp comes with 60mpg... :D

Do they have sheep at them?

Do they have sheep at them?

Never been to one, but I think Shire horses and cattle are common (when the bloody tractors aren't flying round)

Do they have sheep at them?

Can't speak for Jason, but at the ones i've been to its purely tractor related with no animals around at all (bar the odd rogue sheepdog). It is actually very funny as its a bit like a big car meet in that various farmers bring out their vintage tractors and everyone else looks at them / compares notes / talk cr*p etc etc, then watch a bit of ploughing with many beers!

Edit: forgot the BBQ which usually does involve animals :D
