Wanted: Pics of single DIN adaptor

Featured Replies

aww damn... so all you guys spray painted it?? How did you get the surround to match so perfectly the silver lists allready in the cabin?

This is my current setup, so I bet you can see why I want it changed.

Do any of you guys have a link to where you can buy the parts?

I simply ordered if from my dealer and picked it up two days latter :)

Yes, order it from the dealer. I have just bought mine and some A pillar trims to install tweeters in.

Not doing it for a while as I am going to get the fascia painted silver. Might have a go myself first.

sounds great that I am not the only one doing this right now.

My biggest concern is, how do you get the surround to match the silver that is allready in the car? That is going to be so hard?? Or do you have the paint allready?

Yep, the factory stereo is good for a std car, however I've had after market stuff for years and the SQ of the factory isn't that good in comparison.

The door woofers are in a bit of a daft place for imaging, but I can't be bothered changing it.

For the paint, I was going to try and find somebody to do it, however after reading here I think I'll have a go myself first.

Going to give it a light sanding so the paint has a key to stick to, then spray the silver and then laquer it to make sure it stays.

Colour wise, I will have a look in Halfords to see what is close. If I don't fins anything, I'll speak to a mate of mine in the car trade who sprays for a living. He'll either do it for me, or at least colour match the interior silver trim.

hmm... too bad I dont have that kind of friends. I guess I'm stuck to the black surround then :(

what a pity :(

I'll post a pic of mine when it gets done.

If I manage to do it myself, I'll work out what it cost and let you know.

Should I find it quite easy and you want yours doing, I'll do it for the price of the bits + postage depending on where you are.

Will be a couple of weeks yet though I suspect.

that would be awsome :D

Now I am really in big trouble.

I went to my local skoda dealer here in denmark, and asked for a single DIN adapter. They claim that the one I allready have is the original ones from Skoda. I find that very hard to believe, since I saw all you guys having adapters much prettier.

My question is, what do I do now?

Is it possible to buy the adapter in the UK for instance? or what would you do?

I attached pictures of the adapter they claim to be original from skoda.

That's not a Skoda one.

Your best bet is to ask the dealer to order the kit by giving him a part number.

I can't imagine that the kit would be any different for different countries. Maybe the wiring could be different, but the fascia itself looks the same.

Have a search for the din kit part numbers on here and ask your dealer for that directly.

hth

I did ask for the part number, and the number he gave me was AZO 600 002

Exactly the same as the one on page 1 of this thread.

He said that there was no doubt it was an original skoda adapter.

I am in contact with Skoda Corp. in Denmark to clarify this issue.

Hi, Could anyone re-post a working link of the skoda adaptor please? the images in this thread seem to have fallen off the server. Thanks!
