Performance comparisons chart (interesting)

Yeah, there's a few on the CTR forum, I don't think they are covered under their insurance, and I know if it was my car, I'd be gutted. To get inside the car though, it must have risen blimmin high!

Skoda claims a 0-62mph time of 9.6sec, but we managed consistent times of 8.2sec and one incredible but genuine, non-wind-assisted run of 7.2sec

Discuss further.............. :D

Dodgy timing gear is all it is. And we've been here before.

anyone even question anything that a fabia driver says be it absolutely true or wildly off target and they get flamed as a fabia hater and attacked :(

That's a bit of a generalisation.

It's a bit like saying;

" Typical Octavia driver mentality here :rolleyes:

takes every opportunity to put the Fabia down and then calls all the owners Tight..."

:D

The 0-60 time of the vRS feels quicker than it is due to the surge of torque. Too many gear changes are required to make it any good in that dept as it's a diesel.

1st gear is useless, 2nd is over too quickly and you need 3rd to sweep past 60.

In addition, the gear throw is too long and in this milder weather, you need an FMIC to have any kind of power and to aid breathing/ reduce heat soak when caning it.

I'd like a go in a Golf GT-TDi 150 to see what they feel like. Been in a mapped Furby but I'm wondering how they compare.

Oh and by the way, Snoopie, my mate is currently drying out his CTR carpets after it got flooded in Hull. He's not a happy bunny. :(

I have both vrs and Gti150 well I did have, the remapped vrs feels alot quicker but on the road is only slightly quicker ,the gti150 revs out better is smoother and grabs traction better if the vrs could get traction not alot could touch it off the mark but yo should not talk about `ifs` :eek:

i didn't say anything bad about the fabia, just the owners :)

Still a bit of a generalisation.

It's a good thing I have thick skin. :)
