Tyres for a Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi people, first post, so thought I'd say hello and ask my first question.

Just got myself a Fabia VRS and have been enjoying it all this week, driving here there and everywhere..

Anyway, I'll need to get two new tyres very shortly and was wondering what you all recommend? And more importantly, what is the best price?

I'm happy to haggle over the price and usually get about 40% reduction on tyres for my partners car, but haven't bought anything for the VRS yet. From what I can see, the majority of well know brands go for around

Goodyear Eagle f1's for all round performance wet and dry and a decent wear rate

people will suggest toyos but they seem to wear quickly

Do a search, this is a thread that happens every week.

Btw Toyo t1r's are better than F1's :jab:

Much stiffer sidewall, better traction and much more predictable on the limit. They should last about the same if you get the T1r's and they can be had for about

Hankook Ventus Sport K104

I replaced the factory Bridgestone Potenzas with Pirelli P Zero Neros. Seem pretty good to me...

another vote for the Toyos from me

lol it seems tyres really are just like everything else. its just down to which you prefer

i got toyos at the mo.

Ive always had good experience with uniroyals rallye 550 or raisnsports superb in the wet ,predictable in the dry and good wear

however the vredsteins they were using at the tyres testing at gti international seemed pretty good they guy was telling me that last year the demo car got through six sets of another make in one day last year ( which is why they didnt sponsor it this year) one tyre set lasted them all day this year. I know the two demo drivers and they were giving them some hammer!!

Why don't you buy 4 different tyres and put one on each corner, and rotate them once a week until one of them wears out.

That way you will be able to give us a proper informed view of which are the longest wearing:thumbup:

Ignore Mr Grumpy. He is as is. :) although in reflection this is a great idea....

Would make sense to go for the Michelins on all four corners, just had 2 put on the front and they are very good in the wet and dry, but expensive

Great idea!!!

That way we would be able to get yet another boring thread going on which is the best tyre:

for wear .....

and grip ......

and wider ....

and thinner .....

and black and........;)

Seriously. If you do a search there are countless threads covering this.

Good luck

Ho Hum.

It seems irony is lost on some people.

What?

Thick?

Fat?

No sense of irony?

No sense of humour?

All of the above.

is this multiple choice? lol

I got Toyo's on the front and they are good and sticky in the dry but had Yoko's on the front before and they are really sticky in both wet and dry, bit expensive tho. Michelins on the back seem to be lasting very well.
