Having difficulty finding a vRS.....

Featured Replies

Hey guys.

Been on the lookout for a vRS for 2-3 weeks now and having a bit of difficulty... can you tell me if I'm budgeting too low...?

Looking to spend 7,5k or less.

Must be:

2003-2005

Black / Silver

Less than 50k, preferably less than 45k

Full Dealer Service History

Good condition inside and out

Unmodified

I am located in the middle of Wales where sheep outnumber people  But didn't think it would be this hard.

Dealer is out of the question... they seem to be pricing cars with my specs above at 8.5k upwards.

Is it just a question of playing the waiting game or am I gonna have to go further afeild or even look at another car?

I've sold my Corsa for 4k don't want to shell out more than 3.5k in all honesty.

You will be hard pushed to get a 2005 with less than 50k for that money. The dealer has just offered me

I do wonder what some of these dealers have been smoking sometimes.... The one test drove was 8995 and it was a 2003 car with 39k on the clock... granted it was in MINT condition.... but 8995... its a 4 year old car now!

It may take some looking, but I'm sure you'll find one at your price/spec.

As I think I posted to you before I bought a 55 plate for

Searching on Autotrader there's a 2x 54 plates with 34k and 20k on them asking

i just found 1 i think i am gonna buy....red 04 plate with 23000miles on da clock cruise control a full years warrenty and rac cover plus a few other extra and they want 8250 for it...but said the price is "flexible". going to look at it tommorrow...i am in a good position tho as i can pay cash in full

They'll be one out there for you. Just need to be patient and be willing to travel. Check a national search on 'Trader a couple of times a day and be ready with that phone :D

It's my tried and tested method

Best of luck,

Steve

As said a few times above you really do need to be willing to travel to get the right car these days......

Take the mrs for example. We live in Sheffield and she sold her CTR a couple of months ago via piston heads and the guy travelled up from Leicester to buy it...... The following week we travelled down to Hitchin in Hertfordshire to have a look at the Furby vRS that she bought and travelled back down to collect!!!

Keep looking, be patient and be willing to maybe have a travel out to look at the right car and you'll be sorted.

Good luck with the search.

Cheers

Dave.

Advised 60k, About

personally i like the black fabia. but at the end of the day its the car not the paint really. they all look similar when covered in country lane mud lol

Fabia vRS cambelt change is 80k or 4yrs, whichever is sooner. Some do change them earlier though, from 60k upwards really.
