Introducing my chavtastic Fabia

Featured Replies

UPDATE :

Here are a few photos of my Fabia having been in my hands for 3 months now. I've toned it down a bit, and had a few parts sprayed / resprayed to give it a bit more of a complete look. She's still an opinion divider but man, she's a canny wee thing to own. I had to put new tyres on her within a week of owning her (didn't start promising!) but other than stupidly smashing the windscreen (trying to put the mirror back on! FOOL) she's been ace.

Alrite folks, just a quick introduction. I've been a proud VW owner for most of my driving life and after having a not so encouraging time living with a new Nissan Primera, I found this for sale at the end of my road and man, I just fell for it :D

I can't complain about some of the styling, because for the price i paid - i should be grateful! so my first job is to get a new bonnet. Bonnet vents don't float my boat

Anyway, look forward to learning new tricks from yourselves and becoming a proud Skoda owner for many years to come haha

Sorry for this massive photo, I'm not quite clued up on resizing yet!

Cheers for looking and please, be gentle haha i know she's an aquired taste :P

Actually, while I'm here... It's a 1.4 and drives lovely apart from a metallic rattle (hmm, maybe not the best description... Almost like a chain gently rattling??) I've looked and i feel its coming from the fan belt area, although its a new belt. I spoke to a buddy of mine who told me it could be the water pump, but either way, if anyone has any possibilities - they'd be gratefully appreciated!

Cheers again, Dan

I like it, Looks good in white.

Ah cheers pal, cuts a dash in dull Inverness

Love the looks on peoples faces "Should I like it, or not?!"

Outstanding

Dan

ive gotta say, i actually like it. usually dont like spoliera on hatchbacks either but that dont look too bad

nice one

I think the bonnet vents ruin it tbh

Change the bonnet. Get rid of the spoiler. Place a vRS spoiler their. And It's neat.

Quite a good look, bar bonnet and spoiler! Like the colour coding, wheels and that front bumper isn't half-bad

I can only agree.

There aren't enough nice white Fabias around.

It's pretty nice, though personally, I think the spoiler looks rather silly and very much out of place.

Standard bonnet, vRS rear spoiler, grille and front bumper.

I like the wheels

Yea have to agree looks ok especially in white.

Where did you get the colour coded handles from?

What flavour of 1.4 is it? The 1.4 8v is a push-rod engine with a short timing chain. The older the car, the noisier this chain gets. But AFAIK, it's far less prone to breaking than a belt...

one thing to check is the heatshield at the back of the car between the exhaust back box and the body. When these come loose they rattle, but they are dead easy to sort.

Doesn't look to bad but agree about changing the bonnet and spoiler.

Gotta agree with most posts here, does look good but the bonnet and the spoiler need to go, spoiler looks like a real after thought. Wheels, sideskirts and front bumper look good. Like the grill as well. All in all nice car.

the snek's not dull!!.....well maybe the weather is though!!.....mate of mine has a nice civic up there.....well nice if you like civics that is!!

k:)

The wheels are nice :)

not sure where all of you are coming from.... it looks...well you summed it up nicely in the thread title. fair play to you though as it looks ok for what it is.

I agree with others the spoiler is too far.

only a couple of days ago i read the max power bigging up the fabia thread and tada, here it is not 1 week later ,time to sell up i think:rofl:

Strangely i think it looks quite good:D

I like it. If youre gonna take the bonnet off , then you'd better do the spoiler as well , the spoiler works with the vents , but will look well OTT with a stock hood in place. Im liking the wheels , sideskirts and front end though! In fact , if I was in my mid 20s instead of late 30's I'd leave it as it is! lol!

That was up on ebay a while ago, I think Jason posted up a link.
