Hi - this seems a great site - but could not see how to search the Archive - but have looked through the headers so let me know if the answer is somewhere on this site already.

Before 2nd MOT at 4 years 35K - Vacuumed car and invoked steering lock as I disturbed the steering wheel with key out - clearly was working.

Couple of days after MOT discovered (1) Key would not go fully into Ignition - quite a fiddle to get it fully in to start car. (2) Steering lock does not engage anymore with key out.

[[NB The key will go in with no problem if the steering wheel has not been disturbed since it had been removed - hence it was not immediately noticed]].

Does anyone have any experience of the Felicia (W-reg) Steering Lock failing in this way without abuse - or did the garage doing the MOT yank the steering wheel with the key not turned to release the steering lock?

Any information, ideas, opinions welcome.

i'm afraid you will need a new steering lock i would do it sooner than later as it WILL let you down just as you really need it btw i have changed 100's of them on felicia's common problem the lock tummblers go awol.
