Best "All in one" printer please?

Featured Replies

For home use. My Lexmark all-in-one (scan, copy, print, fax facility) has packed up after 5 years, so can't complain. Need a new one. The word is that HP are better (no, really?) but that Cannon printers use less ink, given the expense is in the ink cartridges, rather than the printer itself.

I have a B&W laser printer to keep me going but want the scan, copy and colour features of a new all-in-one.

Any recommendations please - and best place to buy if any thoughts on that also?

Thank you.

Not that I'm an expert, but I bought an HP Photosmart 3110 All-in-one fairly recently and it's been great, quick and easy to set up and prints a decent photo too with the added benefit of an in built fax . The only downer is that it can get through ink at an alarming rate if you're not careful :thumbdwn:. It was pretty cheap at a hundred quid iirc from Staples but I'm not sure if that deal is still on with them?.

Thanks Makefish. Hadn't really thought of the photo option also. I know some peeps prefer to get a dedicated photo machine, but 'twould be nice if that were an option in an all-in-one with half decent results

We have two HP Photosmart 2575's quick, reliable, easy to use only downside is refill costs(probably same with most printers).

Amazon for price or Pc world(yes them) for ease:)

I've just got a Canon MP600 Multifunction from Amazon

As someone mentioned - ink

If you're printing a lot then check out replacement costs as these can differ vastly.

I remember on a standalone Epson 880 printer I could get 18 cartridges delivered to my door for around
