Forge FMIC - Pics please!

Featured Replies

Picked up my fmic on monday and not had chance to fit it yet due to the p!ssing rain.

What i'm after is a few pics of people's front bumpers with one of these fitted.I'm unsure whether to leave the bumper standard or start cutting crash bar/bumper to allow more air flow to it.

If anybody has any pics of theirs so i can make my mind up,it will be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Jay

Thanks,

Take it you had to cut away some of the crash bar to achieve that look.

Yes you have to cut part of the crash bar away to get that look, you'll obviously lose some structral strength in the event of a crash so its up to you if you take that risk but i think it looks much better

Jay,

I cut out part of the crash beam, take a look at my pics an you'll see what I mean, here's one of the finished product and one of the bumper being cut out. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/attachments/11608d1161645574-dsc00575-1.jpg

Jay, I am going down to Leek tomorrow, if you want to give me a call tomorrow morning I could arrange to call in on my way back through Macc so that you can have a look at mine....I have gone a slightly different way in fitting the forge FMIC which gets good airflow to the Hidden part of the I/c without compromising the crashbar integrity...ins co's do not like you cutting away the middle of the crashbar, makes the front wings suceptible to deforming excessively in an oblique collision.....thats what I was advised by a mate of mine who runs his own insurance brokers and insures modified cars...
