Just got my first vRS ... first impressions Loving it.

Just wondered for all you remappers ... how does it affect your insurance price wise? Who do you insure with? Do you declare it?

Considering it atm, only stage 1 cos i dont plan any other mods as yet.

The only person who can really answer that is your insurance company. But I would expect a hike in your premium for a remap.

If you decide not to declare it then you may as well not have any insurance anyway as the policiy will be void if your found out.

When I asked I was told around 20% more for a remap!

When I got my O-VRS, I did not declare anything for a few weeks as I was going to get it remapped by Jabba. Once this was done, I informed them of :

ECU Remap from 180 to 225 BHP

Recirc Dump Valve

Power Gasket

Samco Hoses

Forge Turbo Intake Pipe

Jabba Induction Kit

Cold Air Intake

Tinted Windows all round (apart from the front !!)

Park Sensors (Option)

Sunroof (Option)

I've not done it yet, but I've been told that LV are only likely to increase your excess for "sensible" mods (suspension, CAI, zorst, wheel/tyre and remap stuff).
