Whats it worth?

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a 2002 octavia vrs wrc edition (number 71/100) and I am selling it due to my parents moving abroad. :thumbdwn: :orb_sad:

Its done 57k, still mint, some skoda history and I havent got a clue what its worth.

Any suggestions?.

Does it still have all the graphics in tact?

No, the graphics were removed by the previous owner.

Ive seen one for sale on here for 7k which needs tlc.

Mine is mint so was thinking 7500?.

I was thinking 7k.

I think Colin was after a similar ammount for his WRC Edition.

Now advertised for sale here.

With respect, I think the fact that it has had it's stickers removed may not help. It will not appeal to somebody wanting a special edition, nor someone wanting a standard model. The fact that it should be fully loaded with toys will help, though. I would say it should sell for around the same as a standard model in similar condition. Around 6k I would say.

As always, it's worth what people are willing to spend so I hope you get what you are looking for.

Out of interest, does it have an alarm? (Feel free to reply via PM if you are worried about security issues! I'm not looking to nick it, I'm just having problems with the alarm on my WRC :P )

They should have an alarm as standard the WRC, IIRC.

If its not working theres every chance the convenience ECU has frozen. Disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect. Do a fault code scan and make sure the convenience channel actually shows a "no faults found" report.

When I picked up my Passat I had this - yet no fault codes came up at all. It wasn't until I tried to scan the convenience module that I realised there was a problem. Ewe from Ross Tech said to give disconnecting the battery a go and it worked!

Cheers Tom

Tried that with no luck. Vag com has recorded a fault of 'no comunication to rear left door module' so I'm thinking this may be the problem with the alarm. I'm just trying to decide weather I should just buy a new lock mechanism, or book it in to skoda for further investigation and risk having to buy a new mechanism anyway!

Sorry to go off topic (I seem to be doing that a lot of late :(:o )
