Headlamps coming on

Featured Replies

Sometimes when I double click my remote to get in, the lights come on, this only happens occasionally but bearing in mind it is firing up the Xenons I dont want them to come on.

The headlamp switch is O and not automatic so it cant be a dark day that is switching them on.

I could probably find out the answer by looking in the manual, but I keep getting urged by the site to post a new thread.

I have only had the car for two weeks and used the Xenons only once, but I found them a bit disturbing. You get this fantastic brightness on dip which is lovely, but then when the full beam comes on using the halogen bulbs the Xenons stay on dip and the area beyond them seems so dark due to the contrast, that there is a line across the road between the two.

My Volvo had excellent headlamps but they were halogen, so will I get used to this contrast?

If you have Maxidot have a look at the settings for coming home/leaving home.

Seeing as he hasn't checked the manual  .....He'll need to know - Press and Hold the lower part of the rocket switch on the Wiper stalk to access the menu :)

I found the same myself...its a little off putting, maybe upgrade your Full beam bulbs :)
