Knocking Noise From Rear ?

Featured Replies

BEEN GETTING A KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE NSR OF MY FABIA

SHOCK ABSORBER SEEMS TO LOOK ALL OK

ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS ?

check the exhaust heat shield , they can come adrift and also check all the other obvious things for security , i.e. wheels, shockers and it might sound daft but the rear seat back

I had a knocking noise for agers on my 05 vrs. spent weekend after weekend with the rear wheels off investigating the noise. Eventually found the noise to be the rear seat back knocking in its mounting. Wrapping the mounting pin in electrical tape works wonders for it

Corny , i know - is missus in boot ??

I get not a knocking noise but more a sort of quiet clunk every now and again and Im not sure what it is?

I dont get it when I go over speed bumps but it is more pronounced on bumpy roads.

Would it be the ARB links or would they be very noticable?

Its a June 04 VRS

You dont have the Brisky :bike: in there do you? That could explain alot of the knocking.

I have it on webcam evidence (Shifty testing out webcam, nothing dodgy (yet?) :P ) that the gentleman was enjoying a Peroni with Neo_VR ;)
