Fitted stereo no remote locking???

Featured Replies

2002 Octavia VRS

Fittedn an Alpine stereo for a mate to night (as a prelude to getting my own) and  remotre locking has stopped working.

Got any ideas, no adapters used ISO to ISO connection???

Please help, (I dont want the same issue when I get mine)

You need to swap the live wires over.

Do a search it's very common.

yep that sound like the red and yellow wires need swapping, you can get them out of an iso conector with needle nose pliers its pins 4 and 7 if i remember rightly. Try setting somthing on the head unit like a radio station or other option then remove the ignition key. If the settings you just made have reverted to factory settings when you turn back on you know its definately the red and yellow wires need swapping.

its probably the plug adaptor. they sometimes come with a link between the yellow 12v and the red 12v switched. just remove the link.
