6600 Intel Duo

4 Gig DDR2 800mhz

500 Gig 16mg Cache

750 PSW

22" Widescreen TFT

Thanks.................

I would go for the 8800gts640mb,i have to honest though i have had no real experience of the xt2900 although i am led to understand that they run hotter and draw more power, whichever way you go that should be one fast gaming rig:)

Go for the Nvidia.... its far superior to the latest ATI offerings

Also, just curious, what OS and other components are you using? To get the best out of 4GB takes a bit of selective chosing :)

Go for the Nvidia,

I am running 8800GTX's in SLI ......... and with my PSU it's warming the planet up nicely :)

The latest batch of ATi's seem to be down on perfromance against Nvidia's at the moment, I built a rig with the same ATi card your looking at and when we tested out stalker on it, the image quality was great, but it dropped to really low frame rates at times. I popped one of 8800's out and the single gtx outstripped the ATi.

If your running Vista or XP 32 bit, they will only "see" 3.25GB of your RAM as the OS has hit it's limit for addressing physical memory. If you go 64bit, then you will get more from your RAM, but enter the vortex that is 64 bit driver's.

Sounds like your building a great system, and should run Crysis quite nicely :)
