kph and mph dash pods

Featured Replies

B*****. :(

I got Stu to pick me up a full-FIS dash-pod for my MY02 Mk1 TDi 110 as part of the Bluetooth Group Buy. I had to get one in kph as the mph one was unavailable.

I've got the unit today and the kph graduations on the new unit are in a different place to the kph graduations on the old unit (which shows mph on the outside and kph on the inside). mph goes up 20 at a time all the way to 130, but kph goes up by 20, up to 120kph, then it goes up in 30s all the way to 240kph. I was hoping it would be a straight swap with the speedo foils.

If I change the coding from kph to mph with VAG-COM, will it adjust to the old unit's speedo spacing? If not, and this all goes horribly wrong, can I refit the old cluster back in the car without too much trouble?

Ahh I see.

I thought you'd hatched some really cunning plan to sort it out. Didn't realise it was so experimental. Mind you it'll be smart if it all works.
