Damped grab handles

Featured Replies

This is a really trivial issue, but can the grab handles be modified to give them the damped action that they have in other VAG cars.

Although I never use them and nor do my passengers (I'm obviously not driving fast enough), they really add to the quality feeling in the cabin.

My mkIV Golf had them and I was deeply impressed and showed them to just about every passenger, but they still never got used!

Yeah it can be done. Quite an expensive mod though.

Why bother if they never get used

Spend your money on a worth while mod :)

You also get damped handles in seats and audis, raid a scrappy

i see your point it is one of the first things i do when i get in the car test the grab handles its a bit sad i know but a habit

Seem to remember reading somewhere that the Octavia "wasn't allowed to have them" in a kind of keep Skoda in its place kind of way.

Superb has them.

Its just one little spring - and I'm sure it can be fitted to the existing handles (i.e. for Fabia vRS peeps with black handles, I'm sure OEM R32 items aint cheap).

Don't know if its available separately.

Even Ford fit them as standard  As said, raid a scrappy and they are an easy retrofit
