It all looked pretty under control at the barrier and then it must have dug into the grass. Good to see these days people can walk (or hobble!) away from a crash like that :D

Thats a very common place to crash on the ring, nearly all crashes on the tourist days occur at that corner. The corner is far sharper than appears as you approach it, and then as you turn in the road falls away down hill. I myself had a close shave at that very corner on my second visit to the ring.
