Can anyone help with the above ?

Planning on swapping the pipe one night this week.

Just unsure wether i should disconnect the battery when doing it ?

Right folks.

Fitted the new pipe tonight.

Instant change in the way the car drives, like night and day.

no more hesitation between 1500-2500k.

Boost is still down 5psi, so need to look into that.

Still have cel on, but need to get that cleared asap.

hope thats the end of it.

send the bill to the chancer in peterborough:P

TBH, it's not his fault.

Pipe was well knackered when it came off last night, covered in Oil too.

Once i get the lights reset i can see if it's definately cleared the errors.

But even this morning when it was cold, it ran like a different car, superb ! :D

Boost, and hence fuelling, may still be "pegged back" if the ECU still thinks the fault exists cos noone's told it different.

Very true Ken.

I hadn't thought of that...i was just so excited that it's running great again..even with CEL still on.

Need to get it checked as soon as my VAG-COM cable arrives, just to see that there's no further fault codes, before i can go get it reset, and run it.

Well i'm even more chuffed this morning.

Jumped in the car, and no cel light at all...woohoo !!! :D :D

The pipe has obviously done the trick, and the ecu has caught up pretty quick.

Boost is slightly higher (16psi) but not right up to 20psi as it was.

Sweet.

hopefully the ecu still has a bit of catching up to do?

you can celebrate by buying me a pint:P

No bother about the pint, although tomorrow is looking grim for me.

But any night doon the 'tree is cool.

Hopefully the ecu will pick up a little, have to remember it's only on it's 1st tank of 99ron since in found out about the remap stuff, so with a little luck it'll pick up.

If not, i'll need to start checking more pipes again.

Main thing is my cel is off, and car appears to be acting as it should. :D

If you did disconnect the battery, you may need to perform the throttle body alignment procedure using VAG Com.

Thanks, but i didn't get round to disconnecting the battery.

Was going to do it, but only have shareware version of VAG-COM so cant do a TBA.

So , how is the car running now after a few more tanks of go-go juice?
