A thought provoking thread that all should read.

But we all know that as a youngun, you believe you are a hero and invincible.

That's just human I think, yet it is not acceptable on public. :-\ We all know we do it (excuse generalisations) I mean even insurance companies act accordingly. Death by young drivers has become a statistic and we are accepting as a 21st century we cannot cure!!! :mad

I want to see the government forcing your drivers to take a advanced learning course.

I want to see people convicted of drink-driving being forced ( a la Clockwork Orange style) to spend x amount of days (uninterrupted) in A&E until they puke their guts out!

I want to see these blokes being instructed to tell a crying mother that their daughter has just died on the operation table

I enjoy cars, I enjoy the mod scene but because I like to know it is possible. Not in order to race another on public roads.

I mean Vauxhall SRi, says it all, doesn't it...

threads like this are important, just to remind us that 10 people are going to die on our roads today, and every time we get in our cars there's a risk... after my few days away (600+ miles since thursday, driving around snowdon was fun!) I've seen some shocking driving, and a distinct swarm of bigbrother cameras, and ONE traffic cop, our goverment has its priorities the wrong war round.....

don't get me wrong, I enjoy a "spirited" drive, but inapropriate use of speed is wrong, and drink driving a real no-no... as g-slave says, make them go in the ambulance crews to road accidents, education is needed, not concentrating on giving people fines and point for safely doing 80 on a clear motorway......

makes you think a bit that does, there is a time and a place for racing other vehicles, the road is not one of them.
