does any one know if it is possible to fit snow chains to a roomster3 with the standard 205/45/16 wheels combination? the manual says that you cannot but surely a low profile chain would fit? or is there not enough clearance?:confused:

Im not sure about the Roomster , but I think you will need to have narrower winter wheels fitted first , thats usually been the case in every manual I've read on the subject.

The more narrow tyre width, the more grip!

A set of winter tyres will be better...

it will have winter tyres on it for this trip anyway because of the German winter tyre laws,

but i'm going to be heading into the Alps and in most areas in the winter regardless of weather you have winter tyres fitted you need to carry snow chains.
