Gauges Fitted

Featured Replies

Just finished fitting boost gauge, oil press and oil temp gauges.

I have fitted them in the side and middle air vents, not to every ones taste but I prefer them to be at eye level and not down in the DIN Slot:D

Got the gauges at revolution (swoosh type) and got a TOPOT adaptor from the gauge place -spoke to Nigel at the gauge place very helpful!

Good stuff! I agree they are a bit awkward when mounted in the Din slot, that's where mine were when I had them fitted and it was a bit of a pain. I couldn't be without the vents though. Looks a neat job.

I'm having my doubts as well!..been quite warm today and had to drive with both windows open!:(

Different, ill give you that.

Least you got them wired up though

Ill stick with mine in the DIN slot though

They look ace matt,

How much did they set you back? Would be nice to see when the oil is actually properly warmed up.

Those gauges look nice in the Din

VDO Gauges are nice, but you pay for them :(

mmm i think id put them there instead of the air vents. nice job.

do you have any prices or a link to where we could perhaps follow suit?

the VDO gauges cost me a fortune :( i think they were about

did you install them yourself?

yea there were pretty easy to do actually.

The hardest part was unclipping the oil pressure sender which i ended up butchering and super gluing together :D

gauges in the din slot looks very smart , kind of harks back to golf gti mk1 era doesn't it..

where did you source the mounting plate for them ? did you have to mark own holes and drill ? how securely mounted are they ( as good as stereos ) ?

but overall really retro ...love it to bits

much better than pillar mounting

I got everything in one kit hence why it cost a fortune.

They fit in the DIN slot by a bracket that just hold the gauge in as well
