MFD2 and GALA

Featured Replies

Is there a way to prevent the MFD2 A/V screen from going off when the car is on the move? and if it is possible is there a detrimental effect on the navigation at the same time?

Before anyone goes off on one I am not trying to watch DVD's on the move like a pillock, been there done that and it's trouble waiting to happen

The MFD used a GALA pulse but I don't think the MFD2 is that simple- is it?

It's for another little project involving an MP3 player and the screen.

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks in advance

I dont think you can, as I believe it uses the canbus signals to know you are moving. These are the same signals it uses to help guess where you are if gps reception is poor.

Thats the one answer I didn't want to hear..........

I was hoping for a "short out wire X and everything will be just fine" :D

I saw the CAN-BUS terminals and thought "feck it"
