Not sure if this is any use to variable service users but as I came out of Halfords just now they were offering "Buy One - Get One Free" on 5 litre packs of fully synthetic oil. I didn't notice the specific make/grade etc but it might be worth investigating considering how dear this stuff is usually.

It is indeed worth considering.Ive used this oil in my Octy for a couple of years now,and for the money its the biz.

They sell two specific types,both 5W 40, one for petrol engines,and the other for Diesels.

The Diesel oil is specifically for VW Audi Seat Skoda,PD engines and meets VW505.01,VW505.00,and others.

Plus you get 5 litres, as opposed to the ludicrous 4 litre containers that Castrol RS etc seems to be sold in(or was in my R5 GT turbo days)
