Lost controller connection

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

I used VAG-COM last year to enable the "auto lock function" and to enable the beeps when I open/close the car.

My wife started complaining about the beeps, they were annoying. Ok, no problem, give me 5 minutes I said.

But: I can't make a connection to the "46" controller.... I can connect to other controllers, but I can't get to the controller to change the lock and beep functions...

Any idea what can cause this? And how to fix it ;).

(VAG-COM 409 version with Furby 2004)

It's been found that Cent. Conv. Cont. 46 sometimes 'lock' themselves up. A reboot can cure it. Disconnect the battery for 15 mins and try again.

Remember if you have one touch windows they'll need resetting and if it's a petrol do a TBA.

Ah, glad to hear it's an "easy" fix :).

I thought there was a guide here on the forum for the window reset, I'll try it tomorrow.

I didn't say it was for sure going to work though did I!!. :P
