Wheels for Pick up / Cube van

Featured Replies

I recently bought some wheels for my cube van and they don't fit. They are OEM VW ones 4X100 ET40 but they are 7J (I think the standard steelies are 5J) so far too wide for the front and rear of the van.

I don't really want to put spacers on the van as they are dangerous so gonna sell the wheels on ebay and use the money to get some different ones. I know a few folk have changed the wheels on their pickups so any suggestions?

Check the offset figure. You might be surprised by just how little of the 2" difference in rim width actually goes outwards.

The offset is 40mm but I've checked them on the van and they rub on the brake cable at the back and on the suspension at the front.

Nasty. Ok, they're too big (at the front anyway, cables can re-route) then.
