Can anyone who has swapped the front vRS badge on the grille tell me how you remove the old one??? Is it a case of knocking it off from behind??? Or is there a particular method?

I've got my new mk2 badge arriving in the morning so wanted to know how best to remove the old badge.

The vRS emblem is stuck with a self adhesive pad to a backing plate on the grille slats. With the emblem removed you can carefully 'tease' off the backing plate but be careful it's easy to damage the slats.

The new badge will arrive with a similar but obviously larger backing plate which will have to be glued on. Araldite worked for me.

I attacked it from behind :naughty: with the bonnet open go in at the back of the slats and gentle pressure on the back of the badge, popped off fairly easily.

I've just paid

All done. I thought the new badge might sit on top of the old mounting plate but the new badge is slightly narrower (top - bottom) than the old badge so prised the old backing plate off then araldited the new badge on.
