retro fit reversing sensors

Featured Replies

I seem to remember a 'guide' being produced on how to fit reverse sensors to the Octy II, can I find it, can I ****, anybody know where it is?:)

Lummox is probably your man for that - He's done a few. He's a bit pre-occupied with moving house at the moment but he'll surface soon I'm sure.

Skoda do offer a kit - IIRC the part number is on my website.

I fitted front sensors to mine - using a 'wireless' kit from fleebay.

These kits are very easy to fit as they come with the sensors and hole cutter and all you have to do is connect them to the reversing lights in the boot to power them and plug the receiver/LED/bleeper unit into the ciggy socket - or wire it a switched 12v supply from the fuse box - no long interconnecting wire needed.

(I obviously did not power my front ones from the reversing lights)

All in all a piece of p*ss and much cheaper than Skoda ones at

I have to admit, i find them more annoying than of any use (factory fit skoda). They react way to slowly for my liking, i react way faster than they do. After i stop it takes a second or so for the beebs to catch up.
