Just below the headlights, on each side there is a small plastic cover. One of these came off when I wiped the bumper. It has three prongs to attach it to a black moulding behind it. The prongs don't seem quite long enough to re-attach it and it doesn't appear possible to push from behind.

Does anyone know what the black objects behind them are, maybe headlight washers, but if so how does the water get to the lights?

How can I re-attach the clips?

Maybe I need to contact a dealer. The car is only three weeks old.

I've just checked the manual and it appears that, every so often, the washer jets appear from behind the moulding and spray the lens, then retract, leaving the cover in place. If I could manually pull the jets out I could easily replace the cover. I'm awaiting a call from a technician at Loders (Yeovil) Skoda.

First, I phoned my dealer, Marlborough Skoda, who were quite rude and unhelpful.

Take it straight back to the dealers and let them sort it out, the headlight washer cover shouldn't just fall off after a wipe!

Just line it up and push it on, it should clip back on.

If your carefull pull the washer jet out and it'll be a bit easier.
