My vRS PD had been on order for around 4 weeks now. I have just been advised that my car is being built w/c 27th August.

They expect delivery around the 8th October.

Does this seem normal? or can I expect a variation either way?

That'll be 12 weeks then, order to delivery.

Same as mine earlier this year. Ordered 1st Feb and delivered 30th April.

My dealer claims to have some on order for stock. Wonder what the story will be tomorrow when we go to thrash out a deal!

I would have thought if it's being built late august they may well have it here by the end of september.

As mentioned in a previous thread, ordered Vrs at the end of May. As I had thrown some extras in, they did not have one to my spec hanging around anywhere.

I was told end of Aug delivery, which was fine. As the time is approaching, I checked with the supplying stealer to firm up a date. I am now informed that it will be mid October!

Perhaps a shortage of parts? I ordered Sat Nav, Xenons & Cruise.

When I had an 06 Passat Sport last year, it took 7 weeks for a factory order!

Colleague of mine just decided to order a Civic instead after hearing about lead times - he can't be bothered with the wait.

The stealer reckons the Octavia range is booming in popularity and as a result, lead times are going to extend. I have only just found this forum (so bit of a virgin!) and having read quite a few posts, I feel it will be worth the wait.

Seems Racing Blue is by far the most popular colour. There is an earlier post asking for info on owners of the Vrs . Last time I checked, over 280 responses received and the blue was by far the most popular. Perhaps they have manufacturing runs by colour! Who knows?

Blue accounts for about 1 in 2 vRS's. Next most popular colour is black (about 27%) then silver which accounts for about 10 %.

Me? I followed the heard and went for blue, though having seen a few pictures of the white ones, I might have had one of those instead.

I think it is available by special order - there is a paint code for it (see Octavia tips and tricks thread for the number) and it's called Candy White.

Nice spec. The only thing I would add is the Sunset Glass - it looks good on the estates (only wish I had it on mine).

Looks great on estates but mine isn't going to be an estate.

Ordered mine today ... from Skoda stock ... collecting on 1st September!

Is white available on the Vrs? I can't remember having that option.

It is, I believe, a standard available colour on the vRS for Europe, Scandinavia and Eire but NOT UK. Heaven knows why.

There are though a couple of white vRS around in UK (reputedly a 'cancelled' Police order) and there are perhaps ways and means to get one.
