My car had to go in to jkm today for some work and Jim had to drive my car around quite a bit including some hard driving:eek: of which he had my permission ofcourse to try to get a prob i thought i had to appear, and thankfully every thing seems to be fine as it should be, but he did note how fast my car was and asked if it was mapped as he 99% sure it has been :D i guess if anyone would know he would he says he thinks its putting out about 200+ bhp and around 290 nm as far as i was concerned it was standard 180 like i told you guys at the RR day thats why i never bothered putting it on the rollers,it looks like i was wrong any way i am going to get it on the rollers next fri to find out:D by which time i would have fitted the Forge 007 and Cai i have cluttering up my kitchen at the mo, hopefully on friday i will find out i have saved myself 400 odd quid and can spend that on more mods.:thumbup:

Could be a decent result then if it is.

Theres a big difference between the 2, sounds like a winner!

Will update this post after it has been on the rollers friday, something else i have noticed today the two grills either side lower i know one is as a grill as it should be to enable air flow through to the intercooler (drivers side) i have noticed the other side that i believe should be blanked of as standard has had some of the sections drilled out only about 5 of them in the centre maybe a cai was fitted in the past at sometime,it is all starting to make sense now esp with Jim saying it has been mapped (99% sure it has). I have noticed it is running the standard bosch dv and i have a forge 007 to fit tomorrow along with a cai.:D looking forward to finding out one way or another:thumbup:

Mine has the same circle of holes on the passenger side. Seems standard.

A quick update: ok i have fitted the 007p dumpvalve and cai after fitting the dv i decided to give the car a run i could not believe the difference now it feels like a mapped car to me aswell it was pulling very hard up through the rev range and the surging seems to have dissapeared,had a look at the bosch one when i got back pushed the diaphram up and caused a vacume on top and sure enough it dropped straight back down :eek: so it was obviously knackered i just can not believe the difference:thumbup:

Slightly OT, but where would you stand with you insurance co. in the event of a claim if you car was remapped but you didn't know?

Do not know Dan, i think it could get quite messy i would certainly be back in touch with the dealers i bought it from as i have a print out of the advert stating 180 bhp and it would surely come down to false advertising on there behalf even though they had bought it thinking it was standard of which it still could be but i can not see it myself.
