Hey peeps, today when selecting reverse, I have been getting the normal beep to tell me the parking sensors are active, followed by a higher pitched and longer beep....what is this second beep????

Are the sensors dirty or damaged? (ie scratched)

Could be dirty, horrible weather round these parts and it is a bit muddy?

Prob the cause.

It's seeing dirt, and assuming you're a gnats dangly's away from a wall.

Deep scratches on sensors will do this too.

Aren't the sensors on the Superb a bit tempremental at the best of times?

I had it today aswell, think it was the rain.

Indeed they are and there are a few historical threads on here about the sensors......sometimes it's just better to use your intuition as opposed to the sensors when judging distances.....

This has happened to me on 3 occasions and each time it has been a defective sensor.
