Deal Drivers, Carpricechecker etc...

Featured Replies

I doing my research into getting the best possible price for a Octavia and I've come across Deal Drivers via carpricechecker & moneysavingexpert (yes a long way round, but a lot of money is riding on this!)who seem to be offering some very good deals indeed, does anyone here have any experience of them, if so what are your thoughts on them.

Wazza :)

What sort of money should you expect to be able to get off a new VRS Tdi from a dealer. I've been told it should be at least 1k.

When I tested a Seat at the weekend (2nd choice) the salesman basically told me as long as it was a sensible offer, then he was unlikely to say no.

Have a look on DTD, best prices for the cars.

The VRS TDI on there you get just over 2k off.

And for the Seat its roughly 1.5k....worth a look!

As others have said, Drive The Deal seems to be the most commonly used one on here

Mmm, I'm in a quandry anyway...

I don't know which one to go for!

I want a Octavia that's not going to feed the chancellors pocket too much in tax!

So I've been looking at:

Mmm, I'll have a look at them too...

I hope you don't mind me asking but...

Are you very happy with your Scout?

Any problems? Did you have anything added to it?

Thanks.

The Skoda L&K with the front sensors and TPM is the same price as that Elegance on DTD ;o)

Mmm, very nice & posh, but a bit impractical as I live out in the sticks and with light coloured leather upholstery it would get ruined (filthy) so quickly, so I think we can forget the L&K as nice as it is... :)

Fair enough, prices on DTD:

Option 1: is

I got a dealer to match the Drive the Deal price :D

Just over a week and 800 miles old I think it's fantastic. Only think I don't like is that it is too new and the engine feels a bit tight. Give it a few thousand miles and I'll be happy. Coming from a 200,000 mile Passat that's inevitable really...

The car was 4 weeks away from the dealer when I bought it so I didn't have any choice on options. It came with Alcantara, Sat Nav, Xenons, Multi Function Steering Wheel and Maxidot. Basically everything you can get on a Scout apart from the curtain airbags.

I got a good deal on the car and I would imagine that this was because it was already being built and I wanted it in August and not with the new September reg.

Just waiting on Bluetooth now...
