Vrs Clutch Creak

Featured Replies

hey

just been to the skoda garage, because my cluch makes a serious creak everytime i use it, and also it creaks over bumps and when ever i turn. I went there and theyt said it was slightly out of place and have poped it back in, it was fine for like 2 mins then it started again. its going in again on tuesday so they can have a proper look at it. just wanted to know what you guys might think it is..i hope it aint a huge job, its still under warrenty tho so i should have to pay n e thing rite?

and because i am only 19 they said i cant have a curtisy car

wat do u guys think?

I had this problem and it went to the garage twice for the clutch box to be lubricated and still the problem re occured

Try tightening the panels around the steering console and above the clutch, this solved the problems for me.

Do you mean the pedal creaks as you use the clutch or go over bumps?????

If so i had the same prob on my vRS..... I cured it myself by spraying WD40 onto the spring behind the pedal.... Sorted it in 2 minutes flat and no problems since.

Cheers

Dave.

my brothers creaks aswell , glad mine doesn't , it would do my head in

So does mine on a December 56 car, but i usually have the music loud enough for me not to hear it, it's embarrassing though if I have the g/f or relatives in the car with me and the music turned low as then it's very noticeble :thumbdwn:

Kind of hypocritical when i'm banging on about the excellent build qualities of Skoda then have my Clutch squeek

Well as i say mine did it when using the clutch and going over bumps..... Was really annoying when in a traffic jam!!!!

I just used the WD40 and the straw adapter to spray onto the spring mechanism along the underside of the pedal and now it's quiet. :D:D:D

Cheers
