Criticisms of the new car that I spotted:

1. The front edge of the seat might be a bit to far forward for some ( :confused: - don't undersstand that), but the electric seats rectify that. Something of a non-issue i feel.

2. Ever present diesel hum - ahh, but they concede that it's exceedingly quiet and diesel engine resonance is really very hard to disguise - even the 5 series gives it away a little. Again, a non-issue for most.

3. Some hard plastics - oh please....the dash in my 1st generation Octvaia has better plastic feel and look than the Passat parked next to it, Clarkson lablled the MkV Golf dash "melted mars bar", so Skoda once again seem to have managed to upstage Wolfsburg..YAY!!

4. Staid Design - erm, if we wanted radical, in-your-face we 'd all be driving cars by Chris bangle........ :

I think what says the most about this car is rather than pick glossy reosrts with perfect roads and scenery, the chose to launch it on what the reviews call "deteriorating roads of greece" - so the car should give limo like ride over the pot-holes of rochdale..........
