my fuel cap locks,

i heard skoda can get one to match my key

but how much is the new cap and lock match up going to cost?:confused:

my mk1 had a locking cap, but it never worked.

You could probably buy a cheapie with a separate key.

yeah but i dont really want an extra key to be carrying about!

Usually when Skoda match locks to keys it takes weeks for it to arrive.

Thats exactly what ive thought of doing before... as i also have this problem... key goes in... key turns... but you can still unscrew the cap!!

Not a huge worry i dont think... unless someone doesn't like you and has a bag of sugar to hand!!

Caledfwlch there's a favorit locking cap on Ebay at the monent. Unfortunately start price + postage makes it pricey, and according to the seller it only works with the key supplied. Hope you enjoy your favorit as much as I am after passing my test early this year. They're a good car to drive and seem to be good to play amateur mechanic with too
