Cheapest Oil change I have ever had

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Can this be beaten for Castrol Edge Oil 507 00 compliant for my 2.0 pd?

All costs in sterling

Labour 5.0

Filter 2.50

Oil 17.50 for 3L

Total 25

Oh and I saw the oil they put in and it was new!

Viva espana!

That is an excellent price, indeed, and you have to love that labour rate!!! :D I always thought the PD needed 5 litres for an oil change though

Chris

 He put the whole lot in , perhaps that is 5l it was ok on the dip stick.

Just checked the website and it looks like a 4l bottle, mmmm

I was thinking that sort of way too; not sure how much you need, but 3l sounds way too little for a full change including filter on pretty much anything.

My oil change cost less because the labour is free ;)

Really? but the oil is 45 quid in England, oh well I was feeling chuffed there for a bit.:(

Crawls back under rock

mine costs even less because the labour and oil are free

...sunflower oil they'd poured into the Castrol container in the back room :D

Cheap as chips that (groan , scuttles back to hole in skirting board) :P

Now, ferry over and back = x

+ fuel =y

+wear and tear = z

x+y+z= blinkin eck (hmm, have to renew passport too). Think I'll have to stay local after all :thumbdwn:

ATS Tyres had a sign up in one depot advertising oil /filter changes ( with correct grades of oil quoted ) - looked reasonable ---problem was staff didn't have any details
