2008MY VRS - which tyres were fitted when new?

Hi guys, a quick question...

When you picked up your new VRS; wich tyres were fitted?

From reading comments on here I turned up at the dealers yesterday expecting to see either Dunlop Sports or Continental ContiSport's.

I was very happy to see Michelin Pilot Exaltos fitted however.

Is this common? (Tyre size is 18" if it makes a difference?)

I have the same tyre as you Michelin Pilot 225 40 18, likewise pleasanlty surpised.

I have just changed my front tyres for goodyear f1 asymetrics as i had dunlop sport maxx from new they are so noisy!! I have swapped the goodyears to the back so i can get rid of the other dunlops there so bad!

What tyres you end up with are a bit of a lottery, it depends on which manufacturer are giving a good deal to skoda at the time. Next week could be a different brand all together.

Ah, didnt realise it worked like that. The Michelins are very good; very quiet and grippy in the dry.

I'm almost CERTAIN that mine has/had Michelins, and i have the 17's...
