black vs yella vRS dilema

GT is a lot nippier that vRS, but u gotta work harder with GT to get to same speed as vRS. That and the diesel pulls like a dog on heat

Black, forget the myth about them getting dirty, ALL cars get dirty. When clean the black IS the nicest colour.

Oh, and black IS the only one that is colour coded, the handles and side strips stick out like a sore thumb on the other colours.

In the end you'll get the one YOU prefer, the above is just my opinion.

get the yellow one there is hardly any around mk only seen one i think and thats in over a year !!!!

ta kipper take it sprint was 05 onwards? the one in question is a 55 (06 plate), whats so good about xenons anyways? just expensive lights?

Xenons were a £500 option. For your money you got/get approx 2.5 times the light over halogens, Self levelling, H/light Wash & a 5l washer reservoir. i've got them and it was the best £500 i've ever spent

You have got to be bold to drive a Yellow vRS! I got enough stick from the lads in the pub for buying a silver Skoda, be prepared to have to explain your choice to everyone you meet for the first 6 months or so!

Black or Silver for me! Although bright colours suit a smaller car like the Fabia better! Looks great in blue.

Obviously you want the lowest mileage, best condition. best price, before colour

But the "Yellow Fabia" is fun,

Cars sit behind you, on say a single lane road, sit at 60, they have seen the SKODA badge, and as soon as the road opens up to dual carriageway

they indicate right, pull out and are left behind in the outside lane :)

OK it is not the colour that does it, it is the VRS, but it is funny

Alfa romeo, BMW, MINI and Megane :) it is just a short two miles of dual

but you sit at 70 and they are fivehundred yards behind you in seconds, catch up just in time for the roundabout that takes it back to a single lane

Their faces are a picture, £28k of Beemer and they have to sit behind a SKODA Fabia  have we got a blood pressure smilie

I really enjoy my VRS

I don;t know when the change was, but i think it happened at the same time as the door handles were coded to match the paintwork, and the rear light cluster was changed.

so loose rule of thumb - if it has black door handles, it'll be lemon yellow. If the handles are yellow, it's a sprint.

I'm surprised none of the long-time regulars has given the answer yet - perhaps they're all having too much fun in Czech.

Mine's a fairly late 54 plate and had the facelift rear lights, although it is Lemon Yellow with black plastics and handles...

your right about the prices, i just dont get why there are so many mad varied prices with the 56 reg, high or low mileage, different prices up and down the country, guess its just down to where they are selling it

AFAIK Spirit yellow is 56 onwards...
