Cruise Control for Fabia Bohemia Estate 1.4TDi

Featured Replies

Ok folks, I have just ordered a 6 month old version of the above and want to fit Cruise - I'm not that hot on electrics so anyone know anyone just west of Birmingham that can fit it for me?

Thanks!

I had a recent experiance with one of these and found that of the three possible controllers on a Fabia it had the only one which doesn't support CC. First one I've ever seen.

I've done 1.4 TDi's before without problem so I don't know if it's a Bohemia thing.

Do you have access to VAG-COM? If so then I can tell you how to check.

Failing that if you wanted to remove the lower knee panel you could look directly at the part number.

The dealer has quoted me £180 to fit it, so I assume it can be fitted!

When it comes I'll check the panel - do you mean a panel by my knee, btw?

£180 is a very fair price for a dealer, I've heard stories of them asking for 3 and 4 hundred.

You need to remove the knee panel on the drivers side and drop the electrical control unit down to read the part number. Much easier to get the dealer to look or use VAG-COM.

Instructions on the knee panel on my Fabia website in the Cruise section.

Told them to fit it - it seems less hassle!

I'd just get them to check the controller before they go too far or spend hours scratching their heads and pulling your car apart.
