alarm keeps going off

Featured Replies

I have a 1.9 roomster 3 about 2 months old. In the last 3 weeks or so it has got into the habit of sounding the alarm in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Anybody else having the same problem? Jaybee

The old fabia has/had the same problem and my sons has just started going off again in the middle of the night ...it seems to be a combination of warm days cold nights that does it as it happens in march/april as well

Don't know if its the same sort of thing but I used to have a Vauxhall that did the same, it was eventually traced to a weak connection hidden inside the B pillar, as the car cooled during the night (or even if the weather turned from sunny to cloudy) the joint would contract and break the connection (or possibly just increase the resistance in the circuit?) and set the alarm off. A new connector solved the problem in the end.

You could try switching off the volumetric sensor using the switch on the drivers door and see if that makes a difference, this could help you and the dealer to isolate the fault maybe?
